A New Class of Internal Auditors: Developping Our Skills to Better Support Our Customers
De Rijke France’s new class of internal auditors has recently completed their training. This second wave strengthens our ability to support our customers and harmonize quality practices across all our logistics and transport sites.
A Multisite & Multidisciplinary Team
This new group brings together employees from several locations and diverse professional backgrounds. Their variety of experience is a real asset: it encourages cross-functional thinking, strengthens understanding of each site’s specific challenges, and fuels continuous improvement within the company.
Two additional sites currently working toward ISO 9001 certification also benefit from this enhanced internal auditing expertise.
Developing Skills in Line with GFSI Requirements
FSSC 22000 and IFS are two standards recognized by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative), the international body that sets common food safety requirements.
As a significant part of our activities involves the food and pharmaceutical sectors — both areas we aim to further expand — it is essential that our teams are trained to these standards to meet our customers’ expectations.
Our first group of auditors had been trained against FSSC 22000, while the new class has been trained against IFS Logistics, contributing to a collective evolution of our knowledge.
However, the core principle remains unchanged: audit techniques are universal and can be applied to all standards.
For this reason, all our auditors work across all our sites, regardless of their certification.
This evolution strengthens our ability to support customers across the wide range of products they entrust to us.
Training Built on Sharing and Collaboration
Beyond technical knowledge, this training was shaped by:
• valuable exchanges between colleagues from different sites,
• insight into each location’s specific operations and processes,
• practical feedback directly from the field,
• collective application of audit techniques.
These collaborative moments have helped harmonize practices and reinforce the consistency of our management system.

A Key Role in Continuous Improvement
Internal auditors play a crucial role in:
• process control,
• maintaining our certifications,
• preparing for external audits,
• identifying opportunities for improvement.
With this new class, De Rijke France reaffirms its commitment to a strong, unified, and customer-focused quality management system.
